Resolved Question: How to do Wisconsin Dells, cheap.?

Cheapest lodging, parks, attractions, etc. We are soon-to-be college students on a budget and there are only two of us to split the costs. But we still want to have fun!

Resolved Question: Do employers have to pay for lodging?

My husband works for a construction company. Before the economic slowdown they always received lodging and money for food. Now the employer states that he has to pay for it himself. With him being gone for 5 days a week it can add up to $400 a week which is over half of what he brings home each week. Can they do this? We are in Wisconsin if that helps. I looked into the labor laws and can't find anything and I tried to call the labor office but they are closed. Also, there are other people who are staying out of town on another job and they are getting provided with lodging and meals. But the people on my husbands job are not. They were told they did not bid the job for that. They said they will pull a tool trailer down for the guys to sleep in. But there would be no bathrooms, no beds, no running water, nothing. They would have to sleep on the floor and find somewhere to shower for the week. Is this legal? I should also mention that he will be 3 hours away so driving really isn't an option. What does that mean??? I am asking a question. Since it is more than 80 miles from his place of employment he can deny the job and be on unemployment until a closer job comes around. Plus he would make more on unemployment since he wouldn't have to pay lodging/food. I came on here looking for help and advice. No he isn't a union worker.

Resolved Question: any single ladies out there?

Well, my name is Nick, and I guess I'd consider myself to be a nice guy. I haven't had an extreme amount of luck dating. I get to be friends with a person and I've heard multiple times that they would rather just stay friends. I'm fine with being friends, but I decided to try this site to find someone that would want to become something more than that. As for what I'm looking for in a partner, I guess I'm looking for sort of a tomboy. Someone who isn't afraid to get down and dirty in the outdoors. Maybe a little bit of a country girl spirit. Intelligence is a must though, plain and simple. Looks aren't a big thing for me. Yes I think there has to be physical attraction, but I don't need supermodel looks and double D breasts. I want someone who does take care of themselves though. Gotta be healthy. I enjoy spending as much time as possible outside. Most of the time I'm out fishing for anything that's biting. I've been a fisherman since I could first hold a pole. My family goes up every year to a fishing lodge in Canada. I also should say that I am originally from a small town in Wisconsin. I guess you could say I'm a small town guy. Living in Daytona Beach isn't terrible, but it isn't my favorite place to be. As for other activities, as you can see above, I'm up for a lot of stuff. I also enjoy watching movies and some television. My top channels/shows would be discovery, history, house, deadliest catch, CSI (the original), and the red green show. Mega bonus points if you enjoy the red green show! Quando Omni Flunkus Moritati. I love dogs and am not really into cats. They seem kinda sneaky to me. Back home I have two white labs who are just crazy. That's about the best way to describe them. Umm... I'm going to ERAU in Daytona Beach for Aerospace Engineering. Love the school, the professors, and everyone I've met. Only problem is that the ratio of guys to gals is about 5 to 1. So not the best selection are left for dating. honestfisherman@yahoo.com 20 years old

Resolved Question: MagiQuest, Great Wolf Lodge, Wisconsin Dells?

I'm going to Great Wolf Lodge in Wisconsin Dells on Monday (YAY!) and I've been there before but there wasn't a MagiQuest yet. So, I have a few questions about it. - Is it in the lobby/hallways/main part of the hotel like in Concord, NC? I thought that was a little annoying :( - What are the creatures you have to battle? In Concord, NC it was just a dragon, fairy, and a bear. Are they different at each? - Is it crowded around this time of year at that MagiQuest because it is open to the public? I hope i don't have to struggle through a crowd! Thank you for your help!

Resolved Question: Kalahari Resort, Great Wolf Lodge or The Wilderness Resort in Wisconsin Dells?

I am going in April with my parents, my 4 nephews, and my niece. Their ages are 7, 5, 5, 4 and 4. My concern is for them to have a good time and not to be cold walking (esp. if it is a hike, etc.). I have read reviews on all, but there are good/bad reports on all three and not sure which one would be the best not only for the kids, but for us adults as well. So what would you suggest?
