Hotel spaces are designed in scale and character for both grand and intimate gatherings, conversation and celebration. Guests like to feel that they have traveled to a faraway or more exotic, rustic, or elegant place than they really have.

Moving light from under the water in in the fountain pool plays on the walls and the lobby's vaulted ceiling. Water also can be evoked through materials with sheen or reflectivity, such as polished stone, metal, or mirrors.

Resolved Question: How do I become a Mason in Utah?

I know about the requirements, and that there is a Wasatch Lodge. I have been looking into Masonry really deeply and am interested in becoming a Mason. I want to forge a relationship with a Mason and prove myself worthy.

Resolved Question: Where can I find information on native american religions and beliefs and some forms of shammanism?

I've been thinking about maybe taking up that type of religion. Christianity just isn't fulfilling to me. This isn't something that I just randomly decided to take interest in. A few years ago, I did a rehab program in the desert out in Utah, where I lived off the land for two and a half months, never once seeing the modern day technology that we have. Admitting at first that I hated it, as time went past, I found that I really loved being out there, and felt amazing and fulfilling emotions from things like mountains, all of the animals, plants and the trees. Ever since then, I've been so in tune with nature and it's beauty. One of the counselors taught me Indian songs, which seemed to be really comforting to me, even though I couldn't understand the words, and taught me about spiritual meaning in the land. And I felt very in touch with some sort of something religious out there. My grandmother was very involved in this type of thing. She had lots of books and such. But unfortunately she died before I was able to ask her about it. And the books were thrown away. I did a sweat lodge out there. We got in a little Tee pee kind of thing and used hot lava rocks in water to make steam and prayed. I really enjoyed it, and felt renewed coming out. Does it sound like I'm looking for the right religion? If so, Where can I get information? (most internet sites aren't helpful) And if it's not, what religion do you think would fit this description? Answerer #1 - I respect you for coming to my board and answering. However. I must say two things. First, I would love to go to a reservation, but I'm on the other side of the country. South East. Money is tight and it's hard to arrange a trip that far. Second. I don't believe that anyone can "fake" a religion. If it is something that you truley believe in, no matter how you choose to express it, I believe it is real.

Resolved Question: Racoon with Porcupine Quills?

So the other night I was driving home on the highway and I came over a hill and there was a raccoon in my lane and a car right next to me but there was no way I could get out of its way before I hit it. It was a really really big raccoon probably like 3 feet long and super furry. But I just noticed in the front of my car where I hit it, there are these "quill-like" things actually lodged into the front plastic bumper of my car (I was going like 65 when I nailed the poor thing). Anyway, I felt really bad bout it, dont get me wrong. But I was just wondering why those "quill-like" things would be on a raccoon. I live in Utah and I don't know if there are porcupines here? I have never seen one around anywhere in the 7 years I have lived here so yeah. I am just curious as to why those quills would be in the front of my car when I clearly hit a raccoon.

Voting Question: My fiance went out of his way to see a ex. He told her about us. Do I have reason to be upset.?

Ok. We have been together almost 3 years in those years he broke up with me once for about a month because an old girlfriend ( he once loved) had found him and they wanted to see if it was still there. According him it was wasn't he loved me. That was almost 10 months ago . This past weekend he drove to visit his family in Oklahoma he lives in Utah making a stop in new mexico where this woman lives. I asked him why he needed to go that way. He said the lodging was cheaper ( stayed on military base) . Well I found out he either had dinner with this woman or talked with her. He told her about us, but it bothers me he couldn't tell me he met her and lied when I asked nicely if he had spoke or seen her. To me its all about respect. Do i have a right to be upset.

Resolved Question: Questions about Camp Pendleton, MCT graduation?

So I'm going over to Camp Pendleton at the end of July to see my husband graduate from MCT, but I am SOOO unfamiliar with the area that I feel a bit lost. Does anyone know what the closest lodging is to the SOI school? Are there places to stay at Pendleton? And what would be the easiest way to get around? I'm debating between flying or driving. I live in Utah, so it's about a 1 day drive, but I'm scared of driving in the busy california cities. But if I fly I would have to pay for taxis and shuttles. So if anyone lives at Pendleton and can give me some info that would be really great.

Resolved Question: Lodging recommendation for skiing in Salt Lake City area?

Does anybody have a favorite lodging property in Utah that provides: * ski-in/ski-out location * will allow a stay of only 3 nights * at a resort that has NASTAR * at a resort that has enough green runs to hold an occasional skier's interest * ideally around $200-250/night for two people (I realize this might be unrealistic) I don't mean to be asking you all to do the legwork of planning my vacation for me, but I'd certainly love to hear any recommendations. Thanks! Thank you for your answer, Dave. I didn't see Snowbird listed on nastar.com, so I emailed Snowbird about it. Unfortunately, they said that they no longer offer nastar racing :(

Resolved Question: I'm looking for a resort in Colorado or Utah that has a mountain lodge feel and rustic charm. Any ideas?

Basically all of the resorts I have found so far are too contemporary. We want a place that has lots of wood and stone features and an outdoorsy look to it. Price is not a concern at this point. Ideally, a place that has a spa and/or a quaint town nearby with activities to do would be best.

Resolved Question: How do I file a wage grievance with the state against the company I work at?

I live in Utah and would like to lodge a formal complaint against the company I am employed at. Any help would be appreciated. Please don't answer if you only have a vague idea or answer (there are far too many people that do that).
