Resolved Question: Looking for a hotel/cabin on the Oregon Coast?
I stayed in a cabin-type lodging about 15 years ago (when I was very young) with my family in Seaside, Oregon. The only thing I remember is that we stayed in these kind of cheesy cabins on the shore and the sign for the lodgings had a big, happy Starfish. It isn't the Starfish Manor in Lincoln City or the Starfish Point in Newport. I would like to go back to Seaside and stay there again because it is one of my best memories as a little girl. I remember it being very close to the beach.
Sorry if there was any confusion but I'm not looking for a hotel to stay at- I'm trying to find a specific one I have stayed at before.

Resolved Question: Know of any cabins close to Grant's Pass in Southern Oregon?
I'm trying to plan a guy's weekend (6-8 of us) in Southern Oregon, close to Grant's Pass. None of us have ever been there, and we'd like to be get an appreciation of the natural beauty of the area while we're visiting. We were looking to hike, go caving, and climb. Are there any cabins, lodges, resorts or suggestions for central areas to look for a rental?

Resolved Question: I NEED $2000.00 to see my father who is suffering through a HEART Condition, Can Anyone Help?
My father is hinting around about his heart problems, he is also gathering his things in order and believes he will not live long. I am his only disabled daughter, I receive $632.00 a month to take care of some bills and my 15 year old son. I need to get to my Dad's in Oregon IL sometime soon. The money will cover air, cheap lodging, food for my father and us, and $200.00 in fees my bank has on my account, putting it at -$200.00. If I pay this, I can use my debit Visa card for anything else my father or we may need. I am not renting a car, I can arrange for someone to pick us up. People tell me all the time, you just have to ask. And I am more the cynical kind, that believes most people don't give a damn. But in posting this, I am taking the chance that my friends are right and I am wrong. I hope there is someone out there that can help with something, if not all of what we need.

Voting Question: can someone help me critique this?
This needs to be in MLA format and it needs to look good can anyone give me pointers on how to make it better?
Highway 84
It’s a hot summer day, and you’re stuck driving on Highway 84 westbound to Portland. You have the air conditioner blasting in hopes to cool off. You start in a small town called Wasco Oregon and hope to be in Portland Oregon in little over one and a half hours. That’s how it is for her. Starting off the scenery is not pleasant. It reminds her of the dry lands, and by that she mean that there are hardly any trees and if there are it has to be ones that can survive harsh summers with hardly any rain. For miles you hear nothing but your thoughts. It’s like this till about the out skirts of Hoodriver. There along highway 84 you see beautiful green trees of all shapes and sizes. It doesn’t seem as hot now whether that has to do with seeing the trees or the fact that the air conditioner is still blasting. Traffic’s picked up some. One angry driver honks his horn at another driver driving so slowly. You’re in Cascade Locks now and would you believe it’s raining. Of course that’s nothing really new. It’s always pouring down rain there, but it would have to seeing as how everything there is green compared to Wasco where everything is dry.
As you are driving on this trip to Portland one of the best and most memorable places to stop is at Multnomah Falls. In this place you see this beautiful waterfall crashing down on some rocks below. Right off of highway 84 tucked away into the cliffs. As visitors cross the highway, they quickly understand the magnitude of this spectacular, breath-taking waterfall. Mist whirls off the cliffs and sprays you ever so slightly in the face. At the bottom on the waterfall there is a lodge that they always want you to check out. There is also a gift shop that has many treasures ranging from a beautiful rock to more expensive things such as a necklace and earrings, and a very nice restaurant with a much stocked snack shop. As you are standing here enjoying your surrounding off to the right you can see some high school student getting her pictures taken for her yearbook. While at its best during winter and spring, this magnificent sight is spectacular to see any time of year. Whether you want to go for a walk, hike, or just to enjoy nature at its purest you can get it here.
You have now turned back on the highway to finish my trip. As you start to reach Troutdale you once again are looking at those trees, and you have noticed that there are a lot of spider webs in them. Not the small ones you would find in your house, but these great big ones that look as though they belong in some horror film. You are close to Portland now and traffic is bumper to bumper. Driver’s horns being honked by impatience drivers, tires squealing as they slam on their breaks. Where there were once were trees now stands tall buildings. As you have reached by destination, you now long to be back along the trees and back at Multnomah Falls were it seemed that life was standing still.
