Resolved Question: How can I convince my mom to let me go on my High School's ski trip?

My teacher Mrs.Less announced that our high school would be having a ski trip, like last year. I didn't go last year, and I really want to go this year. But I don't plan on skiing. And my mom says that that's a waste of money and I'll just be stuck inside. Not true. There are two different deals. Skiing, and non skiing. Skiing: $145 Non:$100 The resort also has a 10 lane bowling alley, spa, movie theater, indoor pool, and gym. So I wont be stuck inside doing NOTHING. Plus, Id go outside and have snowball fights with my friends. Who really want to go and probably are. Two of my teachers are going as chaperons, and two parents that my mom likes are as well. The package without skiing includes lunch at the resort, lodging at the resort, and I think something else. The trip is 3 days. we'll leave on Sunday and come back Tuesday, and its in West Virgina, we live in North Carolina. My mom also says that even though the price is cheap {$100}, I'd still have to buy the right clothes.Like turtle necks, gloves, sweaters, jacket, and ski pants so my jeans wont get wet from the snow and I get sick, and the right shoes. Plus, extra money for lunch and dinner on Sunday and Tuesday, cause the lodge will only give us free lunch on Monday{I don't plan on eating dinner, just lunch, and not that much anyways}. How can I convince my mom to let me go? And she cant come to chaperon either. Shes a teacher at my school and can only miss so many days, which shes maxed out, so she cant get off for those two days and go.thanks! side note---- whose ever gone to a ski resort like this, what kind of clothes and shoes should I get? I have no snow stuff what so ever! I go out in the snow when ever it does snow wearing jeans, a thermal and a hoodie! also, were we'll be staying, the girls will stay in one lodge and the guys in another. and for clothes, I have scarfs, and thermals from Areo, but nothing thats built for snow like that

Resolved Question: Where are all the illegal apologists now illegal goes on shooting spree four people dead is their a revolving?

Where are all the illegal apologists now illegal goes on shooting spree four people dead is their a revolving door at the border ? And people want our borders wide open so anybody can come & go as part of their basic human rights with no immigration status check due to racial profiling?A man accused of murdering four people in Mount Airy Sunday was in the U.S. illegally and had been deported previously, an official with a federal agency confirmed Friday. Marcos Chavez Gonzalez, 26, of 146 Southridge Road, re-entered the country after his deportation, according to Barbara Gonzalez of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), an agency of the Department of Homeland Security. In reacting to this disclosure Friday afternoon, Mount Airy Police Chief Dale Watson indicated that it makes the circumstances behind Sunday’s fatal shootings all the more disturbing. “It’s just very troublesome that he was deported at one point and then did get access back into our country,” Watson said of the alleged murderer and his illegal immigration status. The police chief added that the ability of such individuals to re-enter the U.S. is a major problem for law enforcement in trying to keep communities safe. “It has the potential to create issues like we’re dealing with today,” Watson said in reference to the suspect’s alleged murder of the four victims using a high-powered assault rifle. They were shot in the parking lot of two Worth Street businesses, Wood’s TV Inc. and Chilton Insurance Group Inc. Watson said Friday that city police still have not arrived at a motive for the crime, despite numerous contacts with witnesses to the shootings and others linked to those involved. Several possibilities are being investigating, including one that the deaths resulted from a love affair gone bad, with authorities saying they do not believe it was a random event. After the incident, Marcos Chavez Gonzalez fled to Henry County, Va., where he was arrested at a Super 8 motel early Monday. The convicted felon subsequently was returned to North Carolina and is being held without privilege of bond on four counts of first-degree murder. Gonzalez was imprisoned after a 2002 conviction in Surry County for kidnapping a minor and a probation violation, with the felony kidnapping violation requiring him to register as a sex offender. He was released in January 2007 after a total of nearly five years behind bars. A detainer was issued for Gonzalez following his imprisonment, which is filed in cases in which some other agency seeks to take custody of an inmate upon his or her release from the North Carolina prison system. “In this case, it was a request from ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement),” said Keith Acree, director of public affairs for the state penal department. “The feds had an interest in him as part of a deportation case,” Acree explained. Barbara Gonzalez, who handles ICE activities in North Carolina, said that Marcos Gonzalez was in fact deported after his release from prison, only to illegally re-enter the country. “ICE has lodged a detainer against Mr. Gonzalez” for immigration violations, she added Friday of his present status. If the illegal immigrant were to receive a prison sentence in North Carolina for the latest crime, under the new detainer “we will reinstate his prior removal once he is transferred into our custody,” the ICE official said. Assuming such an incarceration occurs, “he will be turned over to ICE custody upon the completion of his prison term,” she added. Those killed Sunday included brothers Javier Manuel Martinez, 21, and Juan Manuel Martinez, 26; their cousin, Victor Alfonso Martinez-Jimemiz, 22; and Marcos Oviedo Aguilar, 22, a friend of the three. All lived in the Mount Airy-Surry County area. http://www.mtairynews.com/pages/full_story/push?article-Murder+suspect+here+illegally%20&id=4368945-Murder+suspect+here+illegally&instance=home_news_lead

Resolved Question: If a seller misrepresents a listing can i sue for damages and fails to disclose mold issues?

I recently made a bid on a house in north carolina, it was accepted and we had a inspection. The inspection found a few issues but the biggest two were mold and the garage could not provide parking as specified in the listing. When mold was found, first the seller said all he needed to do was wash it, I protested and they agreed to address the issue, our realtor told us they knew about the mold, they had problems in the past with it. Second issue was the garage, the sellers put hot water boiler and laundry hookups in the garage that prohibits us from using it for parking of a vehicle, If we park the car in the garage we could not close the garage door nor could we do laundry because the car would be right up against the washer/dryer and water heater not counting not be able to close the door to protect against the cold. Seller refuses to address this issue nor will he take money off the price of the house. Can I sue for money spent for inspections, traveling to the house, food lodging, etc.

Resolved Question: STATE TAXES CAN ANYONE HELP?

I lived in Virginia from 1969-1982 and again from 1999-2007. When I returned to Virginia in 1999 it was after a year long situation I had while a Probation Officer in New Jersey. I was the Officer in charge of the Family Crisis Unit and a telephone call led to my having a case of a troubled teen-ager. This teen murdered an eleven year old in the neighborhood. As a result the community was outraged that the Judge in charge of the case sent him home. The community call for the Judge to be dis-robed. He in turn retaliated against me and for a year I was subjected to numerous hearings and transfers and false charges. I managed to successfully get through all that was thrown at me until the last few months when false accusations were being lodged against me because I did nothing wrong to place blame and in the end I had to retire with ordinary disability. I worked very hard to get where I was and with one incident my years of hard work was destroyed through no fault of my own. When I finally got myself together I moved to Virginia and lived with my son. I had 0 income from September 1998 until January 1999. Needless to say it was a devastating ordeal and I finally managed to get some part time work. When I went to file my taxes I was told that disability income was not taxable and I believed that the money I made from outside of Virginia should not be taxed. I could not find anyone who knew what the laws were I even went to the Virginia tax department but they said they only collect the tax they don't answer questions. I filed what I thought was correct. In 2006 I paid some back taxes, penalty and interest, by that time I was looking for someplace to live and the cost of houses in Virginia was out of my range. When I finally found a house I could afford $45,900. in North Carolina and moved in 2007. I wanted to get all the Virginia Taxes settled and hired an attorney over the computer BJ Haynes. At first he told me that disability retirement was not taxable now he tell me that Virgina says if I can work I am not disabled? He did nothing for nearly a year and now one year is in collections. This attorney filled all the forms from 2003 - 2007 at a cost of $4,637.50. Needless to say I am devastated. I paid him on a credit card that I still owe over $2,000. and I have the final bill of another $2,137.50. I read on the internet that there is amnesty for Virginia taxes starting July 2009. Would I be eligible for any relief? had I known Mr. Haynes was not going to do anything to argue my case for relief I would have never gone to him. All he did was download forms and fill in the information he did no representing to the Tax department concerning my disability. Please can you understand paying $4637.50 just to file form Please help. I know I was stupid trusting someone to help now I am stuck with two large bills. I am 66 years old and there are no jobs here in North Carolina. I worked hard all my life and just want to enjoy what time I have left without living with all this anxiety. Please Help Paula Jacques
