Open Question: I want to help a friend while also making a little extra money. Here is some backroWhat would you like to ask?
I want to help a friend while also making a little extra money. Here is some backround. He is a well quallified but relatively new oral surgeon from Bulgaria, who wants to increase his practise in the U.S.. He.has a license to practice in New York, New Jersey, Greece and Bulgaria. I live in Oklahoma and found out about him on a website advertising medical tourism. I traveled to New York to have some dental impants placed. After having the work done I had a friend who is a dentist, but does not do implants, check out the dental work done for me and he said it was excellent work using the best materials. He said that.my Oral Surgeon did it at about half the price of any other Oral Surgeon in the country. Now that wouldn't be the case for every patient. Because I was disabled he did the work at Bulgarian prices.
The Oral Surgeon wanted me to let all my friends about him and I WANTED to be able to tell as many people as I can. We came up with an idea to where If I could get him some business he would give me a "finder's fee". I have thought of running a classified ad to start (It is the cheapest way) in a local Oklahoma Newspaper. If that works out I would move on to a bigger ad. (That is part of the question- Should I start out in the Classifieds?). I've done construction work all my life and do not know much about advertising. I would like an advertising expert to tell me what kind of ad I should try and under what category of the classifieds I should run it. Of course I would want something that lets people know that he would be able to do Dental Work in different places at different prices. Maybe an ad saying something about Medical Tourism at a great savings in cost. Even if one has to travel. I don't know exactly the percentage of savings in each location would be but I will soon. I do know that for sure one could pay for airfare and lodging from the savings from the actual dental work. Of course the cost would depend on what the person getting the work done wanted to do.It would also depend on where they wanted to get it done. I went to New York for ONLY the reason of getting the dental work done. I stayed in a cheap hotel and stayed just long enough to get the work done. We could probably put together a simple "Dental Tourism" package. Airfare lodging and Dental Work. Nothing elaborate.
My question then is What should the content of a TASTEFUL short classified ad be that gets across that clients could get excellent and LEGAL dental work done at several locations at a significant savings to themselves? An ad that would, at the least, get a person to call for more details. Also, by tasteful, I mean something that come across as looking like "ambulance chasing".

Voting Question: What do you think of my story?? (cont. again)?
The hardwood floors of the hallway were ice to my feet. I hurried into the kitchen, turning on every light in the house as I went. When the place was filled with a warm glow, I remembered the gaping abyss that was our empty refrigerator. I settled instead for a glass of wine—Merlot—which I took back into my bedroom. I set the glass on my dresser and pulled my laptop out of its case. As it was powering up, I took a long sip and stared up at the light blue ceiling. At last. I was home.
A loud declaration of “You have mail!” broke the peace. I rolled over and opened my inbox. A couple letters from my mother, one from Juliette, and one from Viktor. My heart fluttered and blood rushed to my cheeks. I opened it immediately.
Ella!
Jeez…it’s been so long since I’ve emailed you! I’m so glad that I ran into you at the lodge. Couldn’t believe it!
Anyways…..I was wondering if you were interested in going out to lunch sometime soon. Maybe we could find some time that we’re both not working and head downtown. Have you ever been to Zola’s? It’s like going Paris and back in sixty minutes…I’m fairly certain you’ll love it.
Well, I’m due to scrub in on a craniotomy in about half an hour. Back to work!
See you soon…hopefully ;)
Viktor
I stood up, threw open the windows, and felt the cold air on my face. I wanted to burst with excitement. For the first time in a while, I poured myself a second glass of wine and called Juliette, not because I was curious about when she was going to be back from New York, but because I needed some girl talk.
I'm still writing, this is just the beginning :) tell me what you think!

Resolved Question: I'm traveling to New York city and don't know where to stay. Help?
My partner and I are traveling to New York City on May 12, 13 and checking out on Friday May 14th, 2010. We would like to see 5th Ave, Statue of Liberty, Times Square and a bunch of gay bars and clubs.
We are on a strict budget and only want to spend about $65-85 a night for a motel. Would it be wise for us to stay at nearby New Jersey for the lower cost of lodging rather than New York. And if we do stay in N.J. are there any trains or subway from N.J. that can take us from the motel to New York so I don't have to drive and find parking in the city.
Can you give me any suggestions??? Also maybe a low cost motel that's close to a train or subway.
Thanks very much!!! We're traveling from Cali and have never been to New York before.

Resolved Question: Need Help on a summary Can Someone Help me do a summary on this piece?
I need to do a summary on this article, It doesn't have to be a detailed summary just a gist an overall idea. Thanks I will reward 10 points.
LAST SUMMER, MARTIN TORRES WAS WORKING AS A COOK IN AUSTIN, Tex., when, on the morning of Aug. 23, he received a call from a relative. His 17-year-old nephew, Emilio, had been murdered. According to the police, Emilio was walking down a street on Chicago’s South Side when someone shot him in the chest, possibly the culmination of an ongoing dispute. Like many killings, Emilio’s received just a few sentences in the local newspapers. Torres, who was especially close to his nephew, got on the first Greyhound bus to Chicago. He was grieving and plotting retribution. “I thought, Man, I’m going to take care of business,” he told me recently. “That’s how I live. I was going hunting. This is my own blood, my nephew.”

SMALL STEPS: A CeaseFire field office in Chicago’s Humboldt Park.
Torres, who is 38, grew up in a dicey section of Chicago, and even by the standards of his neighborhood he was a rough character. His nickname was Packman, because he was known to always pack a gun. He was first shot when he was 12, in the legs with buckshot by members of a rival gang. He was shot five more times, including once through the jaw, another time in his right shoulder and the last time — seven years ago — in his right thigh, with a .38-caliber bullet that is still lodged there. On his chest, he has tattooed a tombstone with the name “Buff” at its center, a tribute to a friend who was killed on his 18th birthday. Torres was the head of a small Hispanic gang, and though he is no longer active, he still wears two silver studs in his left ear, a sign of his affiliation.
When he arrived in Chicago, he began to ask around, and within a day believed he had figured out who killed his nephew. He also began drinking a lot — mostly Hennessey cognac. He borrowed two guns, a .38 and a .380, from guys he knew. He would, he thought, wait until after the funeral to track down his nephew’s assailants.
Zale Hoddenbach looks like an ex-military man. He wears his hair cropped and has a trimmed goatee that highlights his angular jaw. He often wears T-shirts that fit tightly around his muscled arms, though he also carries a slight paunch. When he was younger, Hoddenbach, who is also 38, belonged to a gang that was under the same umbrella as Torres’s, and so when the two men first met 17 years ago at Pontiac Correctional Center, an Illinois maximum-security prison, they became friendly. Hoddenbach was serving time for armed violence; Torres for possession of a stolen car and a gun (he was, he says, on his way to make a hit). “Zale was always in segregation, in the hole for fights,” Torres told me. “He was aggressive.” In one scuffle, Hoddenbach lost the sight in his right eye after an inmate pierced it with a shank. Torres and Hoddenbach were at Pontiac together for about a year but quickly lost touch after they were both released.
Shortly after Torres arrived in Chicago last summer, Hoddenbach received a phone call from Torres’s brother, the father of the young man who was murdered. He was worried that Torres was preparing to seek revenge and hoped that Hoddenbach would speak with him. When Hoddenbach called, Torres was thrilled. He immediately thought that his old prison buddy was going to join him in his search for the killer. But instead Hoddenbach tried to talk him down, telling him retribution wasn’t what his brother wanted. “I didn’t understand what the hell he was talking about,” Torres told me when I talked to him six months later. “This didn’t seem like the person I knew.” The next day Hoddenbach appeared at the wake, which was held at New Life Community Church, housed in a low-slung former factory. He spent the day by Torres’s side, sitting with him, talking to him, urging him to respect his brother’s wishes. When Torres went to the parking lot for a smoke, his hands shaking from agitation, Hoddenbach would follow. “Because of our relationship, I thought there was a chance,” Hoddenbach told me. “We were both cut from the same cl

Resolved Question: The Case of the Orange Bird? (Dr. Haledijian)?
For years Mrs. Sydney, the wealthiest dowager in New York City, had vainly tried to outwit Dr. Haledijian. As the famous criminologist selected a cigar from the tray held by the Sydney butler, a wicked gleam came into his hostess's eye. It was time for playing stump-the-detective...
"John DeMott, Paul Houk, and Lee Roach were partners in a successful New York jewelry business," began Mrs. Sydney. "Last January they flew down to the Florida Keys to spend a month at DeMott's lodge.
"One afternoon DeMott took Houk, an avid fisherman but a nonswimmer, out on his forty-foot cruiser. Roach, whose hobby was bird watching, remained behind.
"Roach says he was sitting behind the lodge when he spied an exotic orange bird, belonnging to a species new to him, fly by. He followed it to the front of the house, and through binoculars watched it building a nest, high in a palm tree.
"Quite by chance, he moved the binoculars out to the water and saw DeMott and Houk struggling on the yacht. Roach says DeMott shoved Houk over-board and held his head under water.
"DeMott claimed that Houk had leaned over the side to gaff a fish, and, losing his balance, fell into the ocean. He drowned before DeMott could reach him.
"The coroner ascribed death to drowning. At the trial, it was simply DeMott's word against Roach's."
:The jury deliberated less than five minutes," concluded Mrs. Sydney. "No doubt, my dear doctor, you won't need so long to realize who was lying."
Haledijian didn't. Do you?

Resolved Question: Must eats in Manhattan?
My mother and I are going to be going to New York this spring for break. I believe we're going to be staying there 3 nights. What are some places to eat that we MUST try?
She used to love going to Carnegie Deli, so that will automatically be a meal.
Also, are there any nice, reasonably priced hotels or lodging areas (no more than 250 a night?) near Penn station?
Please let me know, I need some help for my trip. (:

Resolved Question: places for a birthday party????? HELP NEEDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
hey everyone,
so my best friend and I are about to have a joint birthday party and we're having trouble finding a place to have it that's not too cheap and isn't like a lodge or something where everyone would be cold and stuff. I've searched online multiple times and we're looking for a place in rochester New York, so it's slightly (a lot) hard to find a place that's good for us to have a party that won't be "lame". This probably sounds pretty weird, but we both have the same taste in things and it's hard for us to find a place we're satisfied with and that isn't too expensive so our parents will pay for it. I hope i can get your help quickly!!!!!
THANKS!!!!!!!
we're both turning 17. if that helps at all!
we also want a place where we can both eat dinner and have people dance.
okay i'm seriously in need of some help about this. it doesn't help for people to suggest a place for five year olds when i nicely put my age up when asked how old i was turning (17) and it also doesn't help that someone else put up something about how their party was so great and they had it at this great place, but forgot to tell me WHERE they had it, which is what i'm looking for. My favorite answer so far (with only three answers) is the one where they asked my age! at least they didn't give me pointless information and sounded like they wanted to help.
