Resolved Question: Where shall I complain for SAFCO service for returning bad laptop after 3 months ?

I bought a TOSHIBA SATELLITE laptop online about 2 years ago from AUSTIN, TX, USA. I have the receipt for online purchase. I also bought a 5-year warranty from SAFCO SERVICE(http://safcoservice.com/). That was the first time I was buying a laptop warranty and didn't knew that SAFCO SERVICE provides a horrible service. On March'2010, my laptop's hard drive broke down. Since it was under the warranty, I sent the laptop to SAFCO SERVICE, NEW YORK's address. They said that they will sent me a new laptop soon. However they didn't send anything for about 3 months. I kept calling them on the phone number provided on their website. The agents Marc and Thomas gave me evasive replies. All my work was halted and they simply didn't bother. I called them several times....they will take the phone call and put it on hold for hours after telling me that the guy who is responsible for taking care of my laptop is not there and that I have to wait. This went on for three months. Finally they said that they are going to send me a new laptop. The new laptop arrived to me in first week of June. Only to later find out that this laptop is also not new. It has a corrupted hard drive and reduced memory compared to my previous laptop. They didn't compensated me for three months in any ways and gave me old laptop from another user. My original laptop had 2MB ram and this one has only 512 MB. I could have lived with this, but the worse problem is that hard drive is severely corrupted. I called the agents on 1-888-826-6008, but they do not answer me and put my phone on hold. After suffering from this, I would really like to lodge a formal complaint in Consumer Forums in America and receive compensation from SAFCO SERVICE. Please help me out. Where shall I lodge the complaint? Thank-you all. I called TrustedDealer.com and found out that their customer service is horrible. This is a total rip-off of $807 to me. Please do not buy any stuff on trustedealer.com. They are not to be trusted at all. I have found numerous complaints on http://www.ripoffreport.com/Search/trusteddealer.aspx. I hope I can save someone from this fraudulent company. The company operates by various names: 1. trusteddealer.com 2. safcoservice.com 3. electrobrands.com 4. redtagsavings.com They are all the same. It is an online fraud.

Resolved Question: Best way to get in and out of New York for a few days?

My family of 4 is going to be traveling to New York for the first time next month. We, like everyone, are on a budget and don't want to spend up most of our money on lodging. We want to stay 3-4 nights. I have found a hotel in New York with free parking, but it's expensive compared to staying outside of New York. Is there a good place to stay outside of New York and catch the PATH or something into New York? How about somewhere in New Jersey or Queens or Brooklyn? Or anywhere else? And, if I stay in one of those places what is the best way to get to New York? I know staying in New York would be ideal, but, really, if we have to stay in New York we may just end up not going. I can't see spending that much for somewhere to lay my head at night. Thanks for the help.

my husband is desperate to find us a 'good' vacation this year but we're on a tight budget. can anyone suggest a fun, clean and safe place to stay that's not too far (say, no more than 12 hours drive from niagara falls) away? we enjoy waterparks, pools and beaches. some shopping is nice but not necessary. my husband likes museums (i'm not the artsy type at all). we both like video games but neither of us are into sports of any kind at all. movies and shows are good if they're not too expensive. we don't need luxurious accommodations or fancy restaurants (mcdonalds is fine). we'd be looking to spend less than 70$ a night (preferably less than 50$ but that's not likely) and it would be two adults and one 6 month old (and possible also a 60 year old, depending on the location). any suggestions? any suggestions would be welcome though we have already been to great wolf lodge in niagara falls canada so anywhere but there (though we do love that place). thanks!
