I want to help a friend while also making a little extra money. Here is some backround. He is a well quallified but relatively new oral surgeon from Bulgaria, who wants to increase his practise in the U.S.. He.has a license to practice in New York, New Jersey, Greece and Bulgaria. I live in Oklahoma and found out about him on a website advertising medical tourism. I traveled to New York to have some dental impants placed. After having the work done I had a friend who is a dentist, but does not do implants, check out the dental work done for me and he said it was excellent work using the best materials.He said that.my Oral Surgeon did it at about half the price of any other Oral Surgeon in the country.Now that wouldn't be the case for every patient. Because I was disabled he did the work at Bulgarian prices. The Oral Surgeon wanted me to let all my friends about him and I WANTED to be able to tell as many people as I can. We came up with an idea to where If I could get him some business he would give me a "finder's fee". I have thought of running a classified ad to start (It is the cheapest way) in a local Oklahoma Newspaper. If that works out I would move on to a bigger ad. (That is part of the question- Should I start out in the Classifieds?). I've done construction work all my life and do not know much about advertising. I would like an advertising expert to tell me what kind of ad I should try and under what category of the classifieds I should run it. Of course I would want something that lets people know that he would be able to do Dental Work in different places at different prices. Maybe an ad saying something about Medical Tourism at a great savings in cost. Even if one has to travel. I don't know exactly the percentage of savings in each location would be but I will soon. I do know that for sure one could pay for airfare and lodging from the savings from the actual dental work. Of course the cost would depend on what the person getting the work done wanted to do.It would also depend on where they wanted to get it done. I went to New York for ONLY the reason of getting the dental work done. I stayed in a cheap hotel and stayed just long enough to get the work done. We could probably put together a simple "Dental Tourism" package. Airfare lodging and Dental Work. Nothing elaborate. My question then is What should the content of a TASTEFUL short classified ad be that gets across that clients could get excellent and LEGAL dental work done at several locations at a significant savings to themselves? An ad that would, at the least, get a person to call for more details. Also, by tasteful, I mean something that come across as looking like "ambulance chasing".

Resolved Question: I'm traveling to New York city and don't know where to stay. Help?

My partner and I are traveling to New York City on May 12, 13 and checking out on Friday May 14th, 2010. We would like to see 5th Ave, Statue of Liberty, Times Square and a bunch of gay bars and clubs. We are on a strict budget and only want to spend about $65-85 a night for a motel. Would it be wise for us to stay at nearby New Jersey for the lower cost of lodging rather than New York. And if we do stay in N.J. are there any trains or subway from N.J. that can take us from the motel to New York so I don't have to drive and find parking in the city. Can you give me any suggestions??? Also maybe a low cost motel that's close to a train or subway. Thanks very much!!! We're traveling from Cali and have never been to New York before.

I'm 17, and unemployed and almost broke because I just bought a car. Yet I very much want to visit a very good friend of mine in a few months. She lives in Washington, I in New Jersey. I have a car, and a place to lodge for however long I will stay there, the problem is A) Getting there B) Getting money for gas and food C) Getting my parents to let me go (they don't know anything about her, but they could disown me I really don't care at this point) This is something that is at the top of my priority list, seeing her is all I care about anymore and I'm going to do whatever it takes to see her, but I need some help. I am getting a job in the summer, but I don't think it'll be soon enough to see her this summer, I can't get a job now because I'm involved in a varsity sport that takes up 90% of my time, and school the rest. I'm thinking of not eating and saving my money to raise enough, and also if I want to drive there..should I take a friend?..Should I sleep in my car? Should I drive straight (Its about 2 1/2 days drive, probably 3 with traffic and eating and what not)

So (I'm not bragging when I say this, it actually has to do with the scenario) my family is pretty rich and so we were gonna go to the Grand Cascades Lodge in New Jersey for New Years Eve and we invited our long childhood friends/family along, but they're not the richest family and so they couldn't pay for the trip, so we're looking for some "cheap" entertainment for New Years Eve...(Someone in the family is only 11 years old)... got any ideas? P.S When I say cheap I mean inexpensive not cheap as in "crappy"...

I lived in Virginia from 1969-1982 and again from 1999-2007. When I returned to Virginia in 1999 it was after a year long situation I had while a Probation Officer in New Jersey. I was the Officer in charge of the Family Crisis Unit and a telephone call led to my having a case of a troubled teen-ager. This teen murdered an eleven year old in the neighborhood. As a result the community was outraged that the Judge in charge of the case sent him home. The community call for the Judge to be dis-robed. He in turn retaliated against me and for a year I was subjected to numerous hearings and transfers and false charges. I managed to successfully get through all that was thrown at me until the last few months when false accusations were being lodged against me because I did nothing wrong to place blame and in the end I had to retire with ordinary disability. I worked very hard to get where I was and with one incident my years of hard work was destroyed through no fault of my own. When I finally got myself together I moved to Virginia and lived with my son. I had 0 income from September 1998 until January 1999. Needless to say it was a devastating ordeal and I finally managed to get some part time work. When I went to file my taxes I was told that disability income was not taxable and I believed that the money I made from outside of Virginia should not be taxed. I could not find anyone who knew what the laws were I even went to the Virginia tax department but they said they only collect the tax they don't answer questions. I filed what I thought was correct. In 2006 I paid some back taxes,penalty and interest, by that time I was looking for someplace to live and the cost of houses in Virginia was out of my range. When I finally found a house I could afford $45,900. in North Carolina and moved in 2007. I wanted to get all the Virginia Taxes settled and hired an attorney over the computer BJ Haynes. At first he told me that disability retirement was not taxable now he tell me that Virgina says if I can work I am not disabled? He did nothing for nearly a year and now one year is in collections. This attorney filled all the forms from 2003 - 2007 at a cost of $4,637.50. Needless to say I am devastated. I paid him on a credit card that I still owe over $2,000. and I have the final bill of another $2,137.50. I read on the internet that there is amnesty for Virginia taxes starting July 2009. Would I be eligible for any relief? had I known Mr. Haynes was not going to do anything to argue my case for relief I would have never gone to him. All he did was download forms and fill in the information he did no representing to the Tax department concerning my disability. Please can you understand paying $4637.50 just to file form Please help. I know I was stupid trusting someone to help now I am stuck with two large bills. I am 66 years old and there are no jobs here in North Carolina. I worked hard all my life and just want to enjoy what time I have left without living with all this anxiety. Please Help Paula Jacques

I would have free lodging the entire vacation. I would possibly be driving with some friends from Minnesota to New Jersey to stay with a good friend for a week (20hrs) sometime in September. I have about $1k in my bank account right now but I have no income currently. I will have an income by the time I went on the trip. Plane tickets are also pretty cheap also which we are considering. Anyway, we would probably spend a few days in NYC, Atlantic City, and Seaside Heights. How much money would you say I would be comfortable with?
