Resolved Question: Does anyone have any ideas for a resort 'lodge' wedding reception that doesn't come across as trashy?

We are going to be getting married in a romantic resort lodge (Lied Lodge in Nebraska) that acts as both a hotel and a resort. We are looking for any ideas (decorations and colors) that would work well in the reception lodge and not come across as 'hick' or 'trashy.' The reception lodge has wood (cabin appearance) walls with a fireplace in front. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!

Resolved Question: Are Democrats afraid the Congressional Budget Office would shred their new bill (like their first draft)?

Because CBO was the one who told us the original proposal (despite Democrats claims to the contrary) would actually result in price increases over time. So do you think that's why Democrats don't want CBO to get their hands on the final bill BEFORE the vote?? http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0909/27684.html They’re attempting to create the impression that Baucus is trying to railroad a bill through the committee before the public has time to digest it. And they point out that Democrats rejected an amendment last week that would have required the actual legislative text of the bill to be posted online with a complete analysis by the Congressional Budget Office at least 72 hours before a final vote. Democrats said that process could take weeks and that a detailed summary with a CBO scoring was sufficient before the committee vote. “That’s the most extraordinary thing I’ve seen in a long time, after the public rage over passing trillion-dollar bills that Congress didn’t have a chance to read,” Cornyn complained. Republicans aren’t the only ones to lodge that complaint. “If it isn’t out there, then there’s an assumption that there is something wrong — something is being withheld,” said Nebraska Sen. Ben Nelson, a conservative Democrat who will be a key vote on the floor. “It’s pretty hard to argue against having information out there available for people, and I don’t want to tell them it’s not out there because they can’t understand it.”

Resolved Question: Why don't Democrats won't the public to see their healthcare bill?? Are they ashamed?? Are they lying?

They are literally claiming they don't have time to show the final bill to the public 72 hours before the final vote. Thinking people know this is COMPLETE BULLSH*t. So are they ashamed of their "reform" OR are they selling us out and CAN"T show us the bill before the vote OR are they just stupid?? http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0909/27684.html They’re attempting to create the impression that Baucus is trying to railroad a bill through the committee before the public has time to digest it. I want to see the damn bill. FK what Democrats think of their equally corrupt Republican counterparts. lying.............lol Not working....... sunshine.............That's the original from July. (The one CBO blasted) This bill won't even resemble that one after all the amendments are added. (Did you notice Democrats don't won't CBO anywhere near the final............lol) finkle.............your second link doesn't work. sunshine.......I notice they provide SUMMARIES but not the full text. (Except for the old bill) brown........"The Republicans in Congress have already demonstrated that they are not responsible enough to legislate like adults." I agree. Are you implying Democrats HAVE demonstrated responsibility?? They remind me of EVEN BIGGER CHILDREN.♠

Resolved Question: Do you think the final healthcare bill should be made available to the public BEFORE a vote?

Democrats apparently think showing citizens the law they're about to have to obey is a waste time. Guess they have a different definition of "transparency" than I do. What do you think?? http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0909/27684.html They’re attempting to create the impression that Baucus is trying to railroad a bill through the committee before the public has time to digest it. " OK, I guess if you say enough it starts to *seem* true..............but in the end, NO HE DIDN"T.

Resolved Question: Why did Democrats vote down an amendment to post the final healthcare bill online 72 hours before the vote?

This seems like a good idea considering all the SH*T this congress has passed so far. What exactly would be the downside??? My apologies for not stopping him........lol zap............to be clear, Bush seemed like a borderline fascist. Not much has changed since the election of Obama, so.............

Resolved Question: What must all be figured in planning a trip from Omaha Nebraska to Los Angeles, California?

Just getting a head start on planning a trip from Omaha, Nebraska to Laos Angeles, California. I NEED to talk to California people. I know nobody there! The trip will be for two weeks and it'll be my girlfriend and me, both adults, both with money, but we need prices for plane tickets, lodging, we're not tourists, we just want to scope out a city in California for a possible move. Anything worthwhile that I should know, please answer, comment, give advice. Thanks so much.

Resolved Question: What are some fun places to visit in KS?

Resolved Question: Good midwestern singletrack biking vacation destination?

Hello, A group of us are looking to take a mountain biking vacation next summer and we're just looking for some suggestions. We would like to do a week-long trip, with about 4 days of biking and the rest of the time available for driving. Now, economical times being what they are, we have some restrictions on where we can travel. As much as we would love to go to British Columbia or Moab, we will need to stick closer to our homes, which are in Wisconsin and Minnesota. So, does anyone have any good ideas of places to go biking (again, singletrack mtn. biking, please) in the central North America area? If you have a map of the continent in front of you, please imagine or actually do this: Put your pencil on Buffalo, NY, and draw a circle counter clockwise from Buffalo through Ontario, Manitoba, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, a bit of Oklahoma, northern Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, some of Pennsylvania, and back to Buffalo. It does not need to be a perfect circle. An oval would be acceptable as well. Do you know of any great places to spend 4 days mountain biking anywhere inside that circle/oval? We're looking for some challenging trails that are good for full-suspension bikes. Suggestions for lodging (vacation properties, interesting hostels, or camping preferred, no hotels please) and fun area nightlife or decent brewery tours in the area of the bike trails would also be welcome. Thanks everyone!
