Welcome to Lodgingwithall

Davenport is one of the top tourist destinations of Iowa. It is a city full of history and at the same time enjoys a modern cosmopolitan atmosphere. The old town has some of the finest historical architecture, in contrast with the gleaming modern structures in the new town.

You can get there by flying on a Iowa Airline which offer budget flights daily to a nearby airport. Alternatively you can take a train or Greyhound bus from a number of other destinations.

You can stay in one of Davenport's many elegant resort hotels, or for the budget traveler, the city offers a number of inns and motels. If you are staying longer, you might consider renting a holiday condo or apartment.

When you are in Davenport you can simply enjoy the sun, or there are a number of other opportunities for sightseeing - a visit to the city's museums and galleries is always worthwhile. Alternatively you could explore the narrow streets of the old town on foot, shopping for souvenirs in the many charming designer boutiques. On Sundays the central park is always full of young people who meet for picnics under the shady trees. For the more active, there are opportunities to play golf or tennis. Those who enjoy water-sports can go fishing or swimming. You will probably want to hire a yacht or motor cruiser for the day to reach the best locations.

Getting around Davenport couldn't be more easy. The city is well served by taxicabs and a modern bus network. If you want to venture further afield you might hire a car and take of to see the sleepy villages in the Iowa countryside, or drive to the coast to while away the afternoon in one of the many secluded areas along the coastline.

Davenport comes to life in the evening. The city has dozens of excellent bistros, delis, and restaurants, and there are many lively bars and clubs to while away the night into the early hours of the morning.

Whatever your interest, Davenport, Iowa, has something unique to offer.

Voting Question: My dog is bleeding from the nose, having struggle breathing, and hacking a lot... I need help.?

My yorkshire terrier is a girl and she is 8 years old. This morning she was breathing very weird, it sounded kind of raspy, almost like she was struggling, and then she would start hacking and she has been doing that about every 10 minutes today so far. Then my brother just noticed that there was blood coming out of her nose and we just found many spots blood on the carpet in my living room. It's coming from both nostrils. I have no idea what's wrong or what's going on, can anybody help me? *I tried to look up online anything about it and it said it may be from pollution (I live in Iowa, that's not it) or it may be something lodged in her nose (she has a small nose, I looked in it, there's nothing and that's for sure) oh yeah - she has a vet appt at 2:45 today. earliest i could get her in. p.s. i'll update you all after i get back from the vet's

Resolved Question: Iowa Archery Deer Hunt (Clayton County)?

I am offering a very limited amount of guided archery deer hunts in Clayton County Iowa. My hunts are all on private property that have food plots, and produce large bucks. The hunt does not include food or lodging. I will line up the lodging for you if you would like. Non-residents must draw a tag. To apply go to:http://www.iowadnr.gov/wildlife/files/deerappl.html. I will customize your hunt to fit your need. The cost of the hunt is $350.00 per day (5 day minimum and a 14 day maximum) I will pick you up every morning and take you to your stand. When you are done for the day or have shot your buck I will come and get you and your buck. All our stands are placed in high traffic areas with excellent deer movement and a great chance at harvesting a Iowa monster buck! Once you have booked your hunt we will provide you with trail cam pictures to show you the deer traffic in the areas we have our stands. Please contact me if you would like to reserve your hunt. Please provide a e-mail address or phone number to contact you. This is free range, there are no fenced in deer here. A food plot is planted to keep deer in the area and to feed them when the winter is hard on them to find food. If you keep your deer herd healthy during the winter with food plots then it antler growth will be better. This isn't a ranch where you pet your deer before you shoot it. :) Your in the timber.

Resolved Question: Why is the media heavily biased against Hillary Rhodam Clinton?

Hillary:not a dominant figure of power, but a woman trying to break what she has called “the highest and hardest glass ceiling" in America. I do want Hillary Rodham Clinton to take the White House, but until she lost Iowa, I didn’t realize how much, or how much it had to do with her being a woman,” said Allison Smith-Estelle, 37, director of a program against domestic violence in Red Lodge, Mon Michelle Six, 36, a lawyer and John Edwards supporter in Los Angeles, said she was horrified to hear Mr. Obama tell Mrs. Clinton she was “likable enough” in a Democratic debate on Saturday. Ms. Six said she found the line condescending, and an echo of other unkind remarks by other men about women over the years.
