Resolved Question: question about lodging near Denali in Alaska?

I am planning a trip to alaska in august of 2010. We are headed to Denali Park, and find that lodging in the park is very pricy. We do not want to camp. Can you suggest lodging near the park (say within a 5-10 mile range) We are planning to stay in Denali for about 3 days.We don't care if it is fancy, as long as it is clean with no bed bugs. Thanks.

Resolved Question: How soon before orders to a new duty station does the Army pack your household items?

My husband and I are in Alaska right now and our orders say we leave here beginning of Nov. and we're having a baby due in Sept. I'm wondering when the Army comes to pack or take our household items. And right now we're in an apartment, but once they take our stuff do we go stay in Lodging? Sorry for all the questions but this will be our first move to a new duty station and any and all info is welcome! Thanks =) Btw: I'm not in the Army my husband is.

Resolved Question: Have any of y'all ever just kind of run away from your life? Where'd you go? Was it a good decision?

Over the past year and a half my life has completely turned upside down. I've realized that my family, who I've always been incredibly close to and protective of, aren't who I really thought they were and really don't deserve the high pedestal that I set them on. It's a really long story, but honestly, if it weren't for my youngest brother and my reliance on them, I think I could completely cut them off and be ok (which reallybothers me...). I've been struggling with my religion a lot also. And that's been incredibly hard, because its always been such an incredibly present part of my life. I'm in school now and I hate it. Completely. I don't know how to explain it, but I feel so deeply that what ever I'm going to do career-wise (and I'm still utterly lost as to what that might be), I'm not going to need college for it. Like college isn't this great stepping stone that's going to open all these doors for me, like it is for others, but istead just a complete waste of time. I've been thinking about going to Alaska this summer and working at a lodge for about half a year or so, just to kind of sort things out in my mind and take a break from everything for a while. Have any of y'all ever gone through this? Did y'all go out and kind of ran away for a while?
